Continue readingAfter many months with the campervan in secure storage while I went cruising around the canals on my narrowboat (for which, see www.cruisingthecut.co.uk), I am now moored for winter and that means I can go and get the van again and begin my plans for what to do with it and where to go over winter.
Continue readingContinuing the campervan journey, we went across a very narrow and ancient bridge, up to Llangattock Escarpment, over to Sugarloaf Mountain and finally to the Llangattock wharf where the canal barges of old would have been laden with lime after it was brought down from the quarry by tram.

Continue readingThis is the video of my first proper trip out in the van, sleeping in it overnight and actually using it as a campervan. I went to visit Nick Twinney (aka “Shevanigans” on YouTube) who lives near Swansea, and he took me for a tour around the Gower which is where my father grew up and that side of my family is from. We visited Rhossili, Langland, Rotherslade and the Mumbles and I saw where my grandmother used to have a small chandlery which we visited many times when I was a child.
