Vlog 72: The Heat Is On
In what is arguably my dullest video yet – and that really is saying something – I present a few minutes of me touching my hand to an exhaust pipe and saying “yes, it’s hot” as I do the first test run of the newly-installed Planar / Autoterm diesel heater in the campervan, as well as CO checks and making sure the van isn’t about to be set alight.
Well done! Once diesel got fully to the heater itself (when all the air was pushed out between the pump and the heater), did the CO emissions go down at the tailpipe, i.e., fuller combustion? 🤔
Looking forward to seeing the hob and sink install.
Ah, it only fired up once the air had been pushed out (ie on the second try) so the CO reading shown was with full combustion. I suspect it may reduce if I tried it now, after having a full 2-hours session to get it ‘bedded in’ as it were.
