Van 90: Door Blimey!
A few years ago, I made a video about how to fix the handle on the sliding door of my Toyota Proace van, when it comes apart from the mechanism inside. That video still stands and you can watch it on the link below. However, this time around, the entire door handle mechanism had come apart inside the door so I had to take the whole thing apart from the inside to fix it.
Note: this is NOT a step-by-step “how to” video. It is a recording of me trying to dismantle the door and fix the problem without any instructions and as such is more an account of what I did and how I thought, than a “how to”.
The prior video can be watched by clicking here.
You could glue a shim onto the piece to the left of the door handle to take up the slack and prevent the handle giving grief in the future.
Cheers, I may consider that.
Looking back over your tours of campervan shows , two years in a row you featured a VW with solid oak cabinetry and a limited edition show model with darker wood and cocktail cabinet.
But I
You didn’t mention the converter!!
Please help
Ansolutely no idea, sorry. If I didn’t mention or it wasn’t shown then I didn’t know it at the time.
