Vlog 66: A Ferry Nice Day
This is a very quick little vlog in which nothing really happens but it documents my recent trip to Ferryside near Carmarthen in south Wales, where I was doing some filming for my Cruising the Cut channel. I also meet some old friends.

NOTE! The video I was filming is not yet online and won’t be for another couple of weeks. I’ll amend this note with a link when it goes ‘live’.
After watching the and the previous car show video, I was wondering about how you keep clean on these adventures when there lies no suitable place to erect a shower tent. I believe in the past you had mentioned the possibility of a roof-top conversion for the van, but mentioned they are fairly expensive, and of course, you just purchased a house, so I’m sure funds are at a premium at the moment. Still . . . I’d like to see you eventually do a video series on converting the roof of the van to allow for standing room only and of course, a shower as well. Cheers David and thanks for this one.
I have pondered that issue; in this case I simply wiped myself down with a wet flannel while sitting in the van and it was OK for a one-night trip. On longer trips I would stay at a campsite with a shower available. I’m not sure that even with a pop-top roof I’d be able to have a shower in the van as there isn’t really the floorspace for it, though if I started again from scratch I might be able to design one in.
